Dückers, prof. dr. Michel
Michel Dückers bijzonder hoogleraar Crises, Veiligheid en Gezondheid / onderzoeksleider Gronings Perspectief aan de Faculteit Gedrags- & Maatschappijwetenschappen. Hij is verder programmaleider Rampen en Millieudreigingen voor Nivel, een organisatie die onderzoek doet naar gezondheidszorg. Hierbij adviseert en ondersteunt hij nationale en lokale overheden bij calamiteiten. Dückers is gespecialiseerd in de mentale gezondheid bij crises en rampsituaties. Zijn onderzoek focust zich op twee gebieden. Het eerste is de veiligheids- en gezondheidsgevolgen van blootstelling aan rampen, crises, verstoringen en andere omgevingsdreigingen. Het tweede is onderzoek naar de optimale aanpak van deze gevolgen vanuit overheden, bedrijven, maatschappelijke organisaties en burgers vóór, tijdens en na de blootstelling/crisis.
