UG at Liberation Day Festival 2026: Step into our classroom

Between performances, the Liberation Day Festival also offers space for something different: exploration, new insights, and the joy of learning. Because this festival is more than just music, it is also a moment to reflect on what freedom means.

The UG will also be present at the festival grounds in Stadspark on 5 May. No long lectures, no complicated jargon but easy to follow mini-lectures by researchers from the University of Groningen. In just a few minutes, they will take you through surprising insights on one central theme: freedom.

You are also invited to enjoy some popcorn during our short film program. Or to take part in a real scientific speech experiment in our mobile SpeechLab!
