Economists and business specialists blog on news and research
‘Is there a future for microfinance?’ This is the question Prof. Robert Lensink asks in the first entry on the new FEBlog hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Groningen. While proponents of microfinance state that it can rescue developing countries from poverty, opponents tend to refer to a ‘micro credit crunch’ and fraud. Robert Lensink writes that both camps are exaggerating, and he feels that there certainly is a future for microfinance.
The new ‘FEBlog’ hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Groningen offers a platform for our academics to write regular blogs on news and research for a wider audience.
