Marc Kramer teaches subjects in the field of Behavioural and Corporate Finance. His research domain is investor behaviour. After studying business economics at the University of Groningen, he worked at Rabobank as an investment consultant and completed the CFA/RBA financial analyst programme at VU University Amsterdam.

Kramer is coordinator and lecturer of Corporate Finance course units within the Economics and Business Economics (E&BE) Bachelor’s programme. Together with his colleague Nanne Brunia, he developed an Excel Modelling learning pathway for a number of subjects, which can be used to teach students complex modelling skills. In addition, he has initiated a range of educational innovations including a system of weekly progress assessments and a system for students to do their homework in advance online, so that time in class is spent more effectively. Students greatly appreciate his efforts. ‘Dr. Kramer himself was the highlight he conducted the tutorials associated with the lectures, which helped to maintain consistency. He regularly took notes when we gave presentations, and provided feedback.’ ‘Fascinating. Dr. Kramer is excellent at explaining the topics. Useful lectures and slides.’ ‘Dr. Kramer uses recent examples, so I can understand the theory very well. His enthusiasm is contagious.’ ‘I am beyond grateful for his help, not only during lectures but regarding other matters as well.’
