As a student at University College Groningen you will be part of a vibrant, international academic community. We have a fully equiped building where classes and other educational activities take place. Next to academic activities taking place at UCG, we also focus on social events and engagement outside of the classroom.
Study Association: Caerus
Study Association Caerus
Caerus is the young and progressive study association of UCG. Caerus brings UCG students together, as well as creating plenty of opportunities to meet other students from Groningen and the other University Colleges in the Netherlands.
We encourage students to join Caerus to benefit from social activities, such as sports events, parties, dinners and camping trips, as well as guest lectures, excursions, and skills training. Caerus also provides students the possibility of becoming socially engaged and to get discounts on study books. Become a member and join one of the many committees or create your own. Let Caerus open the doors to your full on student experience!

Student housing
Student Housing
UCG offers housing in the city centre of Groningen for at least one year. One of the residences where our UCG students live is called Libertas (see video below) and is managed by SSH, an independent non-profit organisation providing student accommodation in Dutch cities. Once you have been offered a place to study at UCG, you will receive information on how to finalise your room reservation.
Student Buddy
Student Buddy
Your student buddy will be able to answer all questions that you might have about our faculty, the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme, major displines, project work, living in the city of Groningen and all other student related topics. Your Student Buddy will also be able to answer questions about our application process.
