dr. W. (Wim) Westerman

Was born in 1959. Studied Business Administration at the University of Groningen (finished in 1983). Worked up until 1991 mainly at a high school and at a polytechnic school. As from 1990/91 onwards, assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Groningen. Received his PhD in 2003. Co-organises conferences. Lectures on (international) financial management and business ethics, including thesis projects.

Focuses with his research on financial management (capital budgeting, corporate valuation, treasury management and energy finance). Writes regularly about these issues in scientific as well as professional outlets. Is a fellow of the FEB research school. Co-initiated the Center for Energy and Value Issues (CEVI) in 2006. Joins the (reviewer) boards of three other international journals.
