Ratna Juwita graduated from Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (Sarjana Hukum, equivalent to Bachelor of Law, cum laude) in 2012. Ratna continued her master studies in International Law and the Law of International Organizations specialized Human Rights, University of Groningen (LL. M) from 2013 to 2014. She also obtained a master's degree in International Law studies from Universitas Gadjah Mada (Magister Hukum, equivalent to Master of Law, cum laude) in 2015. Since 2015, Ratna has been working as an assistant professor in the Department of International Law, Faculty of Law, Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Ratna started her Ph. D studies at the faculty of law, University of Groningen in 2019. Her doctoral studies are funded by the Ministry of Finance under the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan). Her research interests are the development of international law, anti-corruption, and human rights.
