Paul Ike completed his study in Civil Engineering at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He graduated in Civil Planning, Transport Planning and Traffic and Highway Engineering. After his graduation, he worked as a researcher on the Planning of Business Parks and Minerals Planning Policies at TU Delft. He continued as a teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Spatial Science at the University of Groningen in the field of environmental planning followed by infrastructure planning. He did intensive research on the field of Minerals Planning Policies and Supply Practices in The Netherlands and Europe and he earned his Ph.D. in Spatial Planning from the University of Groningen. He is professor of Environmental and Infrastructure Planning.
