Assistant Professor of Law and Technology where she specializes in the legal and societal implications of emerging technologies, with a strong focus on consumer protection, algorithmic governance, and AI accountability. She holds a Ph.D. in "Individual Person and Legal Protections" from the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, Italy. Her recent research explores the intersection of AI regulation, digital infrastructures, and fundamental rights. She currently leads the research project “The Meaning and Practice of AI Accountability”, which develops a taxonomy of accountability mechanisms and a practical toolkit to support legal and organizational compliance with AI governance frameworks. As part of this project, she is also designing an educational game to promote responsible AI use in legal practice. Previously, she served as Assistant Professor at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá (2019–2022), where she contributed to national discussions on AI and ethics as part of the CinfonIA group and coordinated a widely circulated book on disruptive technologies and law. She also co-developed two MOOCs on AI and contributed to the design of an “Ethics of AI” module for graduate legal education. Her work aims to bridge theory and practice, combining doctrinal legal analysis, empirical research, and innovative teaching tools, including simulations and serious games, to promote fair and accountable digital governance.
