dr. M.A.G. van Offenbeek
Marjolein van Offenbeek ('64) is currently associate professor of organization studies at the University of Groningen, department of Innnovation Management and Strategy.
She studied work and organizational psychology at the Free University of Amsterdam (1988). As a student she participated in the project ‘Industrial Democracy in Europe’ and during het PhD visited the summer school Work Psychology and Information Technology at Berlin Technical University.
Her subsequent PhD study (1993) was titled ‘From method to scenarios: Matching context and strategy in information systems development’.
In cooperation with management centre 'de Baak' she initiated a research project on Business process re-engineering.
She participated in the International Teachers Programme 96/97 at London Business School and co-organised one of the follow-up workshops.
She assisted in developing a problem oriented, ICT supported curriculum for Groningen Business Studies.
She was a member of the Supervisory Board of Stichting De Borg in Groningen (eg nursing homes, homecare, 2005 - 2010) and chairman of IB&M’s educational committee (2006 - 2010).
She is engaged in and supervises research projects in health care (see under projects), often in close cooperation with the University Medical Centre Groningen.
