L.A. Linsi, PhD
I grew up in Western Europe and had the privilege of living and working in Guatemala, Singapore and Mongolia during my formative years. Experiencing life in different cultural and social contexts, at the top as well as the bottom of the global income and opportunity distribution, has nourished my abiding interest in the rapid socio-economic dislocations that we are currently living through.
In 2012 I was awarded a full PhD scholarship in a university-wide competition at the London School of Economics, where I completed my doctoral degree between 2012 and 2016 (including a period as a visiting fellow at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs in 2015-16). Towards the end of my PhD, I received a personal research grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation (Early Postdoc Mobility grant, similar to NWO’s Rubicon scheme), which allowed me to move to the University of Amsterdam for my post-doc. I joined RUG's Department of International Relations and International Organization in 2019.
