dr. J.I.M. (Judith) de Groot
After finishing my PhD in Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences (2008), I moved to the United Kingdom to work as an Associate Professor at Bournemouth University, School of Design, Engineering and Computing (2008-2013) and as an Associate Professor at the University of Bath, School of Management (2013-2016). My research has always focused on the question why people act in a (non-)sustainable way and how it is possible to change behaviour in a positive way. Typical concepts I look at in my research include human (environmental) values, social influence, norms, and identity. I have taught courses in Social Marketing, Consumer Psychology, Environmental Psychology, Applied Psychology and Research Methods.
