De Kam is professor of Housing and Land Markets, with a focus on the spatial and environmental conditions for ageing in place. He has published on the role of huosing associations in (re) development of housing, and the provision of land for social housing. Recently de Kam is enaged in research on the impact of induced earthquakes on the housing market in the Dutch province of Groningen.
