Current position

I'm full professor Applied Statistics and Data Visualisation at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences.

I started this tenure track position in 2009. In 2014 I got promoted to associate professor, and in 2023 to full professor. I held my inaugural lecture in 2019.

Since August 2024 I'm also dean of the faculty.

  • Supervised 8 PhD-students to completion; 5 ongoing projects.
  • Appeared over 200 times in the media as statistical expert
  • (Associate) editorial work for British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, Statistica Neerlandica, Computers & Education, Journal of Data Science, Statistics & Visualisation, Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry.
  • Elected Fellow International Statistical Institute
