In my teaching, I help students understand how ageing and disorders affect movement and performance. Students learn to apply biomechanical knowledge in clinical and rehabilitation settings and practice experimental data analysis.

Human Movement Analysis 2 - Bachelor 2nd year Human Movement Sciences (UMCG, RUG, Groningen). In this course I teach the students kinematics, dynamics, muscle and system modelling theory. The students use this knowledge to solve practical problems in the field of human movement sciences.

Signal Analysis Using Machine Learning - Master Human Movement Sciences (UMCG, RUG, Groningen). In this course, I teach signal analysis theory - including analysis of time series - with particular emphasis on machine learning approaches, starting from research questions in the field of human movement sciences.

Master specialization courses (UMCG, RUG, Groningen).

Guest lecturer: Biological Physics, Faculty of Science and Engineering (RUG, Groningen).

PhD supervision: Jeroen Waanders, Morten B. Kristoffersen, Andreas Franzke, Roos Duijn, UMCG, Groningen; Hans Essers, Maastricht University.

Certificates: Basis Kwalificatie Onderwijs (BKO), UMCG, RUG, Groningen. Training certificate in Problem Based Learning (Maastricht University).

Previously taught courses:

Signal Acquisition and Analysis (2017-2024) - Master Human Movement Sciences (UMCG, RUG, Groningen). In this course I taught the theory of digital signal acquisition and processing in the context of human movement science applications. The students learned methods and techniques to acquire signals using a prototyping electronic platform and different sensors and to analyze signals during the practicals.
