Decision making under uncertainty in city-logistics operations

This encompasses my research projects focussed on solving new business problems that relate to city-logistics. For instance, how to organize last-mile delivery in large and dense inner cities? Can we develop city distribution networks that are efficient regardless daily fluctations in demand patterns? What implications do the relatively small city distribution centers have on (optimal) network design?

Sustainable service logistics for offshore wind farms:

In this project, I researched how maintenance activities at offshore wind farms can be organized more efficiently, from an transportation and logistics point of view.  We researched, for instance, how short-term maintenance can be planned so that technicians are used to their full potential, and what characteristics of maintenance activities are most important to design long-term strategies.
