40 years Groningen Science Shops

Last year was special: The Groningen Science Shops celebrated their 40th anniversary. During an interactive poster session on 21 March, former councilor mr. Frank de Vries spoke about how we can all work towards a sustainable future and how students can also play a role in this. Fiona van Gelder, now lecturer in International Communication at the Hanze, looked back on her science shop project and how these experiences have helped her in her career. Students from all Science Shops presented their research by means of posters.

About the cover

This year's cover was created by illustrator Kim Veenman. She uses her background as a biologist for her illustrations. Now she works on her first children's book. Kim says about the cover: “What you see are the collaboration and interaction between people. The "wave" in the middle represents the conceivable bridge between the university and society. I think that when people are connected the most beautiful things arise. ”
