Resilience Fair | University of Groningen

When:Mo 22-06-2026 14:00 - 17:00Where:House of Connections, Grote Markt 21, Groningen

In a world where resilience is becoming increasingly relevant, society also expects universities to take a stance on this issue. The University of Groningen (RUG) addresses this theme from various perspectives.

As a knowledge institution, as an employer, and as a collaborative partner, we would like to bring together all colleagues who feel connected to the theme of Resilience, who have points of contact with it, or who are simply curious about it. Our goal is to inform each other, share knowledge, and inspire one another. We will do so on June 22nd during an informal gathering, to which you are hereby invited.

The Resilience Market on June 22nd will be opened by the King’s Commissioner René Paas, who will shed light on what society’s expectations actually are. Afterward, there will be ample opportunity to meet colleagues who also feel connected to this theme, to exchange ideas, and to inspire each other—through poster presentations, for example—with examples from education, research, or the role the RUG plays as an employer in this theme. The starting point of this afternoon is everyone’s personal WHY. Why is resilience a relevant theme for you? What background do you bring to this? What associations does the theme evoke for you?

What can you expect?
An informal setting to exchange knowledge and experiences, explore new collaborations, and meet colleagues. We are currently working on an inspiring program and hope to welcome you on this afternoon.
