Web classes

What is a web class?

The University of Groningen organizes Web Classes twice a year. These Web Classes are designed to give you a peak into the freshmen year of a study, and helps you to make a well-considered study choice. In 4 weeks you will get 4 assignments which will take about 2-3 hours each. These assignments can be completed by reading articles, checking some videos, scientific papers and discussing with your fellow students and the teacher.

This fall we offer seven beta web classes; Biology and Life Science & Technology, Medicine, Computing Science, Artificial Intelligence, Physics, Chemistry and Astronomy. There are also webclasses from other faculties, which can be found here.

Can I join?

Webclasses are made for students of the 5th and 6th grade of the pre-university education, but others can also join.

When is the next web class round?

The next round of webclasses will start in november 2017. Registration is opens in october. There is also a webclass round in march 2018.
