ABSTRACT

In the last 15 years the optoelectronic properties of monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides and other two-dimensional semiconductors have been thoroughly studied due to their great potential for photodetection. In this talk I will explore the different physical regimes and mechanisms responsible for photoconductivity and discuss the role of exciton transitions in the photoconductivity spectra of these materials.
