Top Master Nanoscience student Rebecca Rodrigues de Miranda nominated for GUF 100 award
From FSE Faculty Newsletter no. 60 dd 26-5-2021:
Last March and April, students and teaching staff of the Faculty of Science and Engineering were asked to nominate an FSE student for the GUF 100 Award. The GUF 100 Awards are handed out annually to the best student of each faculty within the University of Groningen. The winning student receives a scholarship for study or research worth EUR 2,500.
In total, 42 students were nominated by staff and students. The faculty jury selected three students, looking at study results and extra-curricular or volunteer activities for the faculty, the university or our society. The three selected students are (in alphabetic order):
Shruti Giri (BSc Physics)
Rebecca Rodrigues de Miranda (MSc Nanoscience)
Andy Sardjan (MSc Chemistry)
The Faculty Board confirmed the decision by the faculty jury and sent the three nominations to the GUF Board. Based on CV, motivation letter and a digital presentation, the GUF board will decide who will be the GUF 100 winner of the faculty. The GUF-100 awards will be awarded during the UG summer ceremony.
