Research Van Swinderen Institute Research


The aim of the Van Swinderen Institute for Particle Physics and Gravity is to study the fundamental forces of Nature with implications for our Universe. These investigations connect through close similarities in physics from Planck-scale physics (quantum gravity) via sub-atomic scales (particle physics) to cosmic dimensions. There are both theoretical as well as experimental efforts, working together on three research frontiers: the high-energy frontier, the precision frontier and the comic frontier. At the national level the Van Swinderen Institute participates to the Nikhef collaboration. We have organized our research on three frontiers:, each with specific research topics:
