Abstract:

In the last few years a number of measurements in flavour physics have attracted a growing interest. These so-called 'flavour anomalies' involve FCNC flavour-changing-neutral-current processes (b->s transitions) or ratios of decay rates with different types of charged leptons in the final states, or a combination of the two.

In this seminar the measurements from the LHCb experiment, the underlying processes, and possible interpretations will be explained for a non-expert audience.
