Title: Carroll particles and Dark Energy

Abstract:
We discuss two types of Carroll particles that arise from special relativity by sending the speed of light to zero. We determine their thermodynamic properties and equations of state. A bit more speculative, but also more exciting, we argue that Carroll particles give rise to an inflating universe. If true, this would be the first particle description of dark energy.
