Henrike Elzen (1973) followed the training for primary teacher at the “Hogeschool Drente” in Assen (graduated 1995) and the LOI-education for psychological-pedagogic assistant in Leiderdorp (graduated 1998). She worked as substitute teacher at primary schools and as psychological-pedagogic assistant at the rehabilitation center “Beatrixoord” in Groningen. At the same time, she studied clinical psychology at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). She graduated in 2002. Since then, she has been a Ph.D. student at the University Hospital Groningen (The Netherlands), Departments of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Her current research project concerns an intervention study aimed at improving successful aging in older (out) patients with chronic diseases.
