Kapteyn Mobile Planetarium: 10,000th visitor this school year
The inflatable Kapteyn Mobile Planetarium, managed by the Kapteyn Institute and Science LinX has been visiting schools since 2010. This year was the most successful year ever. Last week the 10,000th visitor was reached for school year 2024/2025 at elementary school De Veenvlinder in Eelde. They received a planisphere and corresponding teaching material to celebrate this milestone.
To be able to keep the costs for the planetarium as low as possible for schools, ScienceLinx receives a EUR 10,000 grant from the Gratama Foundation, that will help reach a lot of children in the coming year.
