Filippo Fraternali wins Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award

Filippo Fraternali of the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute has received the prestigious Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The award was granted to him in recognition of his past accomplishments in research and teaching. The prize in general is awarded to scientists and scholars from different disciplines, internationally renowned and from outside Germany, who completed their PhD less than 18 years ago. Award winners are honoured for their outstanding research record and invited to conduct a research project of their own choice in Germany in close collaboration with fellow experts at a research institution in Germany.
