New Funding Opportunities in the University of Oldenburg & University of Groningen Collaboration

The University of Groningen and the University of Oldenburg continue to strengthen their collaboration under the 2021 Roadmap for Cooperation. To support this partnership, several funding schemes are now open under the Programme for Excellence (supported by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture and the Volkswagen Foundation).

The following opportunities are currently available (deadline: 31 May 2026):

• Visiting Fellowships
• Brown Bag Talks
• UOL–RUG Network Projects
• Seed money grants for cooperation projects

These schemes support joint research, networking, academic exchange, and initiatives such as workshops and events. 

We would also like to highlight the upcoming Double Doctorate Programme call. The next call is planned with a deadline 30 November 2026. Interested researchers are encouraged to connect with their counterparts in Oldenburg to explore potential collaborations.
