Membership and assessment

The requirements for a full membership of ICOG are:

  • a contract at the University of Groningen that includes research time; and
  • a completed PhD in the Arts or Humanities

PhD students are regarded as associate members.

Members are expected to publish a minimum of 8 peer reviewed academic articles per 6 years, or a corresponding number of other accepted research outputs, for a contract with 0,4 research time, and proportionally less in case of smaller appointments (the standard is currently 40% research time).

All ICOG members are expected to register their research output in PURE, including conference papers and activities in the area of societal impact.
