Entry requirements

In order to meet the requirements for admission to a PhD position you need at least have an internationally recognized Master's degree of an accredited university. Other requirements will be specified in the announcement of available positions.

Master’s certificates from non-Dutch universities will be evaluated by the Graduate School to make sure that the level of training of a candidate is equivalent to the level of a Dutch Master’s degree.

Starting dates

PhD candidates can start their PhD projects all year round on the first day of a month.
