Recycling carbon dioxide in the cement industry to produce added-value additives: a step towards a CO2 circular economy (RECODE)
The project “ Recycling carbon dioxide in the cement industry to produce added-value additives: a step towards a CO2 circular economy ( RECODE)” has been selected for financing by the European Union in the frame of the H2020 Spire-08 call. The consortium that will carry out the project includes 13 partners ranging from research centres and universities to SME and large companies located in various European countries. The Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen (ENTEG) is one of the partners and will focus on the design and development of tailored (electro)catalysts for the conversion of carbon dioxide into industrially relevant products. Principal investigator on behalf of ENTEG, University of Groningen, is Dr. Paolo P. Pescarmona.
The RECODE project was granted EUR 7.9 million by H2020, of which about EUR 540,000 will go to the Pescarmona group.
