Microbiologist from ENTEG participates in Pole expedition
The largest Dutch Pole expedition ever departs Wednesday 19 August to the east of Spitsbergen. More than fifty Dutch researchers will go to the island Edgeøya.
Janneke Krooneman, microbiologist in the research group Biological Processes and Products in the Biobased Economy (ENgineering and TEchnology institute Groningen, ENTEG), is one of the researchers on the expedition. She will do research on bacteria and enzymes that can produce green chemicals such as bioplastics and biofuels from biomass.
