Efficient demand and supply matching by incentivizing end-users in buildings (MatchIT)

Motivated by the time-varying nature of loads and renewable generation sources, we design advanced control schemes that guarantee the stability of AC and DC networks in presence of time-varying exogenous inputs.
We address the charge scheduling coordination of a fleet of plug-in electric vehicles by proposing a game theoretical approach. Then, by considering standard traffic dynamics, we extend this approach to the charging stations located in the highways, taking into account the traffic congestions.
Furthermore we propose an interdisciplinary framework to develop a reliable, efficient, sustainable and socially acceptable energy system. We examine which type of automation, and which financial and social incentives are acceptable and effective to promote demand-supply matching among users.
