Join us at "Practical Connections", a symposium aiming to uncover the real-world applications of academic studies in language, linguistics and communication. Designed for postgraduate and undergraduate students, as well as lecturers in these fields, the event offers an opportunity to explore how theoretical knowledge is useful in professional contexts.

• Listen to the life journeys and everyday working practices of practitioners, like speechwriters, sustainability communicators or communication trainers.

• Participate in discussions and workshops focusing on practical applications of communication theories. Anna Marie Trester's workshop on 'Bringing Language and Communication Studies to Work’  will for example focus on how to think about and leverage skills that students acquire during their linguistics or communications studies.
