Legal Service Centre

Rechtswinkel Groningen [Legal service centre] is a voluntary organization that has been providing free legal advice daily through telephone consultation hours since the 1970s. The organization comprises around 45 advanced students who study at the Faculty of Law of the University of Groningen and in this way put their knowledge into practice.

The Rechtswinkel has become a household name within both the city of Groningen as well as the province. Throughout the thousands of calls received by the Rechtswinkel, people from all over the country are being given advice.

To ensure quality, all cases that are made known to the Rechtswinkel are recorded and monitored by the various departments and subdepartments of our Faculty. This ensures a sophisticated checks and balances system that has safeguarded the quality of advice for over 40 years.

Every weekday, the Rechtswinkel provides free legal advice by telephone. It is also possible to send in a request for information.
