Student member Faculty Board

My name is Joris Boumans and I am the student advisor (studentassessor) of the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Law.

As a student advisor, I participate in the Faculty Board meeting every week and I sit in on the Faculty Council meetings. I am also part of the university's College of Assessors where all student advisers meet to discuss university wide issues. My job is to advise the faculty board on matters such as education, study matters and active student life, which I do from the student's perspective. With that, I represent the students of our faculty. Conversely, the student advisor keeps students informed about faculty policies.

As a student-assessor, you are also a point of contact for students. It is important to be well informed about what is going on among students in order to represent them well.
