Memorandum of Understanding with the Korean Legislative Research Institute

30 September 2016

At the beginning of August, the President of the University Sibrand Poppema and Stefan Weishaar from our Faculty went to South Korea for the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between our University and the Legal Research Institute (KLRI).

KLRI is the only government-funded policy research institute in South Korea which provides advice and assistance in the drafting process of national legislation and in improving legal services. It thereby fulfills tasks similar to those of our SER. The Institute works in a comparative law fashion since its advise is based on the study of legislative systems of various foreign countries.

The MoU brings the already existing collaboration between our Faculty and KLRI at a different level creating the possibility for mutual exchange of experts from various fields of law and for research stays, particularly in the area of healthy aging and energy & sustainability.
