Marburger Zukunftsforum Energie (Marburg Forum on the Future of Energy)
Stefan Weishaar and Arndt Hobrecker (Head of Department, State Development Corporation of Thuringia) organized a conference on the Future of Energy in Marburg, Germany (22.11.2014). The conference encompassed a cross-section of relevant topics related to Energy law, economics and policy affecting the German energy market. The invited speakers came from businesses, NGOs, and academia. Topics covered included Emissions trading (Dr. Weishaar, RUG); Procurements under the German Renewable Energy Act (Dr. Nebel, GÖRG Rechtsanwälte in Berlin); Energy leakage and foreign Energy Policy (Madani, The Advisory House); Energy efficiency (Dr. Holtmeier, board member, Thüga); Energy efficiency projects at the Messe Erfurt (von Stumberg, board member, MANAGESS AG) and Photovoltaic initiatives in practice (Klös, Sonneninitiative e.V.).
