The second stage in the process is to explore and analyze the labor market. In this phase, you search for an internship; you're looking for information on work placement organizations, as well as the functions and activities within an internship so you can compare these with each other and with your preferences. Be open to a variety of internships and career opportunities which may be outside your own discipline, and be reflective when considering the various possibilities: why do you like certain internship or career options and not others?

  2. Recognize characteristics of the organization and job function
  3. Identify key competencies required for a specific job or internship in the legal field
