Interview with Karina Caputi in national journal De Telegraaf
Dr. Karina Caputi, Rosalind Franklin Fellow and Assistant Professor at the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute, has been featured at the journal De Telegraaf as one of the most talented young astronomers in the Netherlands. She has been recently awarded about 1800 hours of high priority observations with the highly competitive Spitzer Space Telescope, which is the infrared sister telescope to the Hubble Space Telescope. With this large amount of observing time, Caputi and her team will study galaxies within the first billion years after the Big Bang. The programme led by Caputi is the largest approved Spitzer programme ever led by a European-based researcher.
