Iron age impasto and grey ware pottery from Francavilla Marittima

Carmelo Colelli presents a study on the Iron Age impasto and grey ware pottery from excavations conducted between 1991 and 2004 and from 2009 to 2010 on the Timpone della Motta at Francavilla Marittima. In the 8th century BC the impasto appears to reflect a longstanding Oinotrian tradition having a slow morphological development that already began in the Final Bronze Age.

Carmelo Colelli (Italy, 1981) have studied at the University of Groningen. He conducted his research at the Faculty of Arts.
