Best article award for István Back and Andreas Flache on Evolution, Biology and Society
The Evolution, Biology, and Society section of the American Sociological Association (ASA) has chosen an article by István Back and Andreas Flache on “The Adaptive Rationality of Interpersonal Committment” as the best article published by a faculty member between 2007 and 2010.
István Back attained his PhD at the ICS Groningen in 2007. Andreas Flache is Professor of Sociology at our department.
Their paper addresses the question how in the course of our evolutionary past humans could have evolved a preference for unconditional commitment to long-term partners.
