Promotor(s): prof. P. Heeringa, prof. G. Molema
Faculty: Medical Sciences
The aim of this thesis was to explore effector mechanisms involved in ANCA-associated glomerulonephritis, a rare but severe autoimmune disorder, to identify targets for more efficient therapies with less side effects. The focus was on the role of inflammatory stimuli and characteristics of the autoantibody and on the testing of experimental therapies in a model of ANCA-associated glomerulonephritis.
