Instrument development - the quest for valid questionnaires
Clinical Psychology, Psychometrics and Statistics
At the moment, the construct of dissociation is not defined very well. It is operationalized using different questionnaires which include different subsets of symptoms. Currently, the overlap as well as the differences between these questionnaire instruments are not well characterized and their convergent validity is unknown. We therefore aim to validate several German translations of established questionnaires and will analyze their factor structure and convergent validity. To this end, several representative samples of healthy subjects as well as patient samples are being assessed using these questionnaires.
