Invitation inaugural lectureAdrie Visscher, 8 december 2015

18 November 2015

Dear students,

On December 8 I will deliver my inaugural lecture “The value of (more) data-based decision making in education in the Academiegebouw of the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (please find the attachment; the presentation will be in Dutch).

During this ceremony I will deliver a presentation of 30 minutes in which I will address the following topics:

  • the meaning of the data-based decision making concept (the use of student performance data for instructional decision-making is crucial here)
  • what we have found in our research about the conditions under which data-based decision making is effective,
  • how we by means of future research may promote even more that schools improve classroom quality and student performance by means of data-based decision-making.

You are all very welcome at the inaugural lecture and the reception afterwards!

Kind regards,

Adrie Visscher
