The University of Groningen Institute for Deafblindness is a new upcoming international interdisciplinary institute for research and education on congenital and acquired deafblindness. The UG Institute for Deafblindness will organise national and international research and education activities. On September 27, the Institute will be officially opened.
The morning program includes various presentations on interesting topics such as Theory based analyses of communication and Interdisciplinary approaches for people with CHARGE and Usher Syndrome. After lunch we walk to the Research Lab at the University Ambulatory Groningen for the official opening of the UG Institute for Deafblindness. Here you have the opportunity to attend demonstrations, observations and video analyses of interaction and communication with persons who are deafblind.
