Master’s degree programme Talent Development & Creativity

The English MSc programme Talent Development & Creativity (TDC) is a concrete implementation of the ambition to strengthen the knowledge position of the University of Groningen educat in , select and develop talent. Our students acquire knowledge from various domains and learn how to merge these to create stronger outcomes. A few examples: How can knowledge about selection psychology in education and at work be used to improve selection in the context of sports ? How can insights from TalentenKracht , a nationwide project about young kids’ talent for science and technology, be implemented in education How could mental for sports be used to improve one’s personal development and functioning in ?

Graduates have knowledge about methods to identify, select, stimulate, and guide talent, and can specialize in a certain field, such as sports, education, work, etcetera. As such, our graduates can be employed in various domains in wich talent development is high on the agenda. Some general examples include sport psychology, coaching, policy development, career counseling, research , or teaching.

For graduates who are interested in sports psychology we have - in cooperation with AOG and de Vereniging voor SportPsychologie Nederland (VSPN) - set up the post-academic Sports and Performance Psychology training. This Dutch-language course leads to an accredited SPORTPSYCHOLOOG VSPN®."
