Space for accessibility

How do people experience ‘het Ommeland’ (the rural area surrounding the city) and the accessibility of services in this area? How can smart and innovative mobility measures improve accessibility? These are questions on which prof. Taede Tillema wants to focus within his position as professor in Transport Geography.
Taede Tillema has expertise in the areas of mobility, infrastructure planning and spatial planning. He has been working as a researcher at the ‘Kennisinstituut voor Mobiliteitsbeleid” (KiM: knowledge institute for mobility policy) since 2013, which is part of the ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. He combines this special chair with his activities at the KiM. His inaugural lecture at the University of Groningen will be held on the 26th of February.
