Pre-master programmes Spatial Sciences

At the Faculty of Spatial Sciences you can do a pre-master when you are not directly admissible with your Dutch diploma. There is not one pre-master programme, it depends on the master which courses you have to take. A couple of masters have a standard pre-master programme. For the others the mastercoordinator puts together a programme for you based on your previous education. If you have a non-Dutch Diploma you have to apply for a master via our admission office. They will assess if you need to do a pre-master programme.

Standard pre-master programmes

Pre-master Cultural Geography

Besides a regular pre-master, students of Tourism Management at Stenden University of Applied Sciences can incorporate a pre-master for Cultural Geography: Tourism Geography and Planning in their programme. You will be directly admissible to the master with the track when you have done this. Both the master Cultural Geography and the track are taught in Leeuwarden at University of Groningen: Campus Fryslân.

For most of our masters you are always admissible to a pre-master. For Real Estate Studies there is a selection procedure and you have to provide some extra documents to have a chance at a place in the pre-master programme.

To apply for a standard pre-master programme you can check this website for the details. To apply for a master without a standard programme you can contact the master coordinator.

Please note: the deadline for the pre-master Real Estate Studies is no later than June 1st!
