Adaptations in response to the Corona crisis

Updated 10 May 2021

Naturally, the Faculty of Philosophy follows the central University of Groningen policy decisions. They are updated on www.rug.nl/corona daily, and twice a day if necessary.

If you are planning to come to Groningen to start one of our degree programmes in 2021-2022, please scroll down on the mentioned page until the Information per target group heading, then click on Prospective students to find any consequences that may apply to you.

Faculty specific adaptations

Our Introduction booklet is addressed to all first year's Philosophy students - this bachelor's programme is only offered in Dutch, so the information is not relevant to international students. This is last year's programme, to get an impression of what to expect. To be updated in August 2021.

Bachelors-before-masters-rule 2021-2022

You can already start with a master degree programme of the Faculty of Philosophy when you still need to finish up to a maximum of 15 ECTS of  your bachelor degree. Although the bachelor’s thesis can be part of these 15 ECTS, we strongly recommend you finish the thesis before the start of the master’s programme. Do you think this applies to you? The admission board of the master’s programme will decide if this provision applies to you. Please, contact the study advisor for advice on this (fil-study-advisor rug.nl).
